Snow King currently has 16 steep trails, night skiing, and snow tubing, making this a top choice for all levels of ski enthusiasts. Snow King was actually the first ski resort in all of Wyoming, so skiing here is certainly a unique experience.

The skiing at Jackson Hole Mountain Resort is what draws crowds in from all over the world. Offering a wide variety of terrain, this is a great resort for skiers looking for unparalleled backcountry access, sweeping views, and amazing vertical terrain. Jackson Hole Mountain Resort is also known for having the most technically challenging terrain in the area. Grand Targhee
Just a short 45 mile drive over the mountain, Grand Targhee is located on the back side of the Teton Mountain Range in Alta, Wyoming. This resort is primarily known for two things - a family resort and unmatched powder. It is worth adding a day to your Jackson Hole ski trip to spend part of a day skiing at Grand Targhee. Doing so allows you to see both sides of the Teton Range and enjoy all of the skiing near Jackson Hole, Wyoming. White Pine
Located about 75 miles from Jackson Hole, White Pine has a lot of ski trails - 25 to be exact. These trails are great for both skiers and snowboarders. The trails are known for being a little more on the quiet side compared to the other resorts, making this a fun getaway from the Jackson Hole area. With incredible views of the Wind River Range, the scenery here is just as expansive as the maze of available trails to ski on.

Backcountry Gates
If you are looking for more of a backcountry skiing experience, Jackson Hole Mountain Resort opened backcountry gates a little over 20 years ago, unlocked thousands of acres of sidecountry skiing opportunities. Currently, Jackson Hole Mountain Resort has seven gates that are stationed near the upper parts of the resort. For those interested, you can sign up for guided backcountry tours complete with skiing instruction, avalanche awareness and equipment, and a direct line to the most exciting powder stashes in the entire Teton range.
