Each winter, snowboarders and skiers alike travel from around the world to come play in the snow here. With a summit at 10,540 feet and an average of 360 inches of snow, this is heaven for snowboarding enthusiasts.

Jackson Hole Mountain Resort is located in Teton Village, a short 12 miles from the town of Jackson. The resort has around 2,500 acres of inbounds terrain in addition to the country’s largest continuous vertical rise at just under 4,200 vertical feet. Jackson Hole Mountain Resort receives approximately 360 inches of fresh powder each season.

Where to Snowboard in Jackson Hole

Snow King Mountain Resort


Known as the town hill, Snow King was actually the first ski resort in the state of Wyoming, making these hills a bit historic to snowboard on. Located in downtown Jackson Hole, Wyoming, Snow King Mountain is not only convenient, but also reasonably priced. The resort has 16 trails and night snowboarding - the only available in Jackson Hole.

Snow King may not have thousands of acres of available terrain for snowboarders, but it does boast the highest amount of advanced terrain between Grand Targhee and Jackson Hole Mountain Resort.

Grand Targhee


Located just 45 miles from Jackson Hole, Grand Targhee is an amazing option for snowboarders. With an average of over 500 inches of fresh powder each season, this resort is worth spending a day at.

The largest vertical rise at Grand Targhee resort is approximately 2,000 feet. It also has a good mixture of terrains for beginner, intermediate, and advanced riders. With over 2,000 acres of accessible terrain for snowboarders, and two mountains, this resort is the perfect addition to your perfect Jackson Hole snowboard trip.

With each resort being close to Jackson Hole, there is no reason not to check out all three resorts while visiting Jackson Hole, especially considering that you can hit the slopes at night in Jackson Hole at Snow King.
