Our rates are discounted as much as 50% during the off season which provides a steep discount for Jackson Hole when the streets are less crowded and there are no traffic lines! The beauty and scenery stay the same. April/May is the perfect time of year to drive around in search of newborn baby animals. In October/November males are in full rut vying for their female consorts and are easy to spot. Bears are also abundant during this time fattening up for the winter.

Location
The Town of Jackson was named after Davey Jackson, who supposedly spent a winter in 1829 on Jackson Lake. Mountain men originally referred to the mountain valley along the Snake River as Jackson’s “Hole” due to the high valley that is surrounded by mountains. In 1872, two years after Wyoming became a State, Yellowstone became the world’s first national park. The National Elk Refuge was established in 1912, which now contains nearly 25,000 acres and feeds over 7,000 elk every winter. Today with its beautiful scenery and fascinating wildlife, along with mild summers perfect for rafting, mountain biking and horseback riding, and is world famous for excellent skiing, snowshoeing, snowmobiling and other winter sports, Jackson Hole’s popularity has made it a prime destination.
